Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh stated at Ran-Samvad 2025 that India is a supporter of peace and will never strike first. However, if any country challenges India, it will respond with full preparation and strength.
New Delhi: At the Ran-Samvad 2025 program held in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh spoke openly about the nation's security and the evolving landscape of future wars. He clearly stated that India has always been a supporter of peace and will never attack any country first. But if any country challenges India's sovereignty, it will be answered with full force and preparation. Rajnath Singh also clarified that in modern times, wars will not be fought solely with the power of weapons, but with a combination of technology, intelligence, economics, and diplomacy.
The Significance of Ran-Samvad 2025 and India's Thinking
Rajnath Singh said that the name Ran-Samvad 2025 itself conveys a deep message. 'Ran' evokes the idea of war, while 'Samvad' points towards dialogue and agreement. At first glance, these two words seem contradictory, but in India's history, war and dialogue have always gone hand in hand. The Mahabharata is the biggest example of this, where Lord Krishna tried to establish peace before the war started. This means that India has always kept the tradition of dialogue alive, both before and after wars.
The Changing Landscape of Future Wars
The Defence Minister also explained that the way wars are fought will completely change in the times to come. Now, wars will not only be based on the number of troops and the power of weapons, but also on Artificial Intelligence, cyber technology, drones, satellite systems, and data. The country that uses these modern technologies most effectively will emerge as a b global power in the future. Rajnath Singh said that modern warfare will not be limited to land, sea, and air, but will extend to space and cyberspace, so India has to be fully prepared in every direction.
The Importance of Data, Intelligence, and Real-Time Decisions
In today's world, the victory of any war depends not only on strength but also on the correct use of information and data. The country that can gather real-time intelligence and make accurate decisions will achieve victory. This is why India is constantly strengthening its intelligence capabilities. From precision-guided weapons to space surveillance systems, India is making every technology a part of its defence structure so that any threat can be responded to immediately and accurately.
The Need for a Proactive Strategy
Rajnath Singh clarified that India never initiates war. Our policy has always been peace. But in the current geopolitical situation, if any country challenges India's sovereignty, India will have no option but to respond. For this, India needs to adopt not only a defensive but also a proactive strategy so that quick and effective action can be taken in any situation.
