Redmi has officially confirmed the launch of the Redmi Note 17 in India and released a teaser video showcasing the smartphone's long battery life. While the company has not announced the launch date or full specifications, reports have revealed its expected features and pricing.
Redmi has indicated the arrival of the Redmi Note 17 in the Indian market through a teaser video shared on social media platform X. The video offers a glimpse of the smartphone's rear design, featuring a rectangular camera module, and highlights its long battery life, suggesting that battery capacity will be one of the device's key features.
The company has not yet disclosed the official launch date or complete specifications.
According to leaks and information shared by tipster Abhishek Yadav, the Redmi Note 17 could be introduced in India in two storage variants. Reports suggest the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model may be priced at around ₹30,000, while the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant could be available for approximately ₹33,000.
Some media reports claim the smartphone could be launched in India around August 6. However, Redmi has not officially confirmed this date. Additional teasers are expected before the launch.
Based on the Redmi Note 17 launched in China, reports suggest the Indian variant may feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor.
The smartphone is expected to include a 7-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Reports indicate it could be available with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. The device is also expected to run Android 16-based HyperOS 3.
For photography, the smartphone is reported to feature a 50-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. Reports also suggest it may include an 8000mAh battery with support for 45W wired fast charging.
Expected connectivity and additional features include stereo speakers, NFC, an IR Blaster, and a USB Type-C port.
