RRB Recruitment 2025: The year 2025 holds a significant opportunity for lakhs of candidates aspiring for jobs in the Indian Railways. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced that recruitment will be conducted for over 50,000 posts in the financial year 2025-26. Furthermore, the recruitment process for more than 9,000 posts has already begun at the start of the year.
Confirmation from Official Notification
According to the official notification issued by the Railway Recruitment Board, the notification for recruitment to various posts has been released. This is a great opportunity for those youths who are preparing for government jobs in the Railways. According to the notification, recruitment is planned for 50,000 posts in the year 2025-26, and recruitment for a similar number of posts will be conducted in 2026-27.
Recruitment on so many posts has been done so far
The Railway Board stated that from the year 2024 till now, Computer Based Tests (CBT) have been conducted for a total of 55,197 posts under seven different notifications. More than 1.86 crore candidates participated in these exams. Also, in 2024 itself, a total of 12 notifications have been issued for 1,08,324 vacancies.
Candidates will get exam centers near their homes
Under the new initiative of RRB, arrangements are being made to provide examination centers to the candidates near their homes. Special priority will be given to women and differently-abled candidates. This facility is to make participation in the examination easier and more transparent. New examination centers are being included to make the examination process fair.

For candidates planning to participate in the upcoming RRB recruitments, this is the time for better strategy and regular study. They should focus on analyzing previous years' question papers, mock tests, and preparation according to the syllabus.
Which posts will be recruited for
The 50,000 posts for which the Railway Board will conduct recruitment include Group C and Group D positions. These posts may include technical, non-technical, clerk, station master, loco pilot, technician, etc. roles.
Application Process and Required Documents
Candidates will have to apply online by visiting the official website of RRB. Information regarding the starting and closing dates of the application process will be released soon in the notification. Generally, the following documents are required for the application:
- Educational certificates
- Age certificate
- Caste certificate (if applicable)
- Passport size photo
- Scanned copy of signature
- Reservation and Special Facilities
As per the government guidelines, reservation and special facilities will be provided to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, OBC, EWS, women, and differently-abled candidates.
