Sambhal: Following strict action by the administration in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, members of the mosque committee themselves began demolishing the illegal construction of a mosque and marriage hall. This action took place in the area on the day of Dussehra, when the administration had previously demolished a marriage hall with a bulldozer.
The committee had requested four days' time, and the administration agreed to grant it. Following this, the committee members themselves began removing the illegal construction. Administrative officials termed this step as cooperative and welcome.
Committee Cooperated with Administration in Removing Illegal Construction
Members of the committee stated, “We have taken this step after consulting with the District Magistrate. To avoid any confrontation and to cooperate with the administration, we are voluntarily removing the illegal construction.”
Officials also acknowledge that public cooperation is a positive sign in any sensitive matter. Security arrangements are tight in the area, and continuous drone surveillance is ongoing. The administration stated that such cooperation would help resolve similar issues peacefully in the future.
Illegal Construction on Government Land
