Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and S12+ Launched Globally With Dimensity 9500 and 120Hz AMOLED Displays

Samsung has launched the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and S12+ globally with Dimensity 9500, 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays, S Pen support, up to 1TB storage and 11,600mAh and 10,600mAh batteries.

Samsung has launched the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S12+ in global markets. Both flagship tablets feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays with up to 1,600 nits of peak brightness, and an IP68-rated build. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra features an 11,600mAh battery, while the Galaxy Tab S12+ comes with a 10,600mAh battery.

The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra starts at GBP 1,399 (approximately Rs 1,78,109), while the Galaxy Tab S12+ starts at GBP 1,199 (approximately Rs 1,52,647). Both tablets will be available for sale in Grey and Silver colour options from October 7.

Both models feature 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays with up to 1,600 nits of peak brightness and support for up to 1,000 nits in High Brightness Mode. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra has a 14.6-inch display with a resolution of 1,848x2,960 pixels, while the S12+ features a 12.6-inch panel with a resolution of 1,752x2,800 pixels.

Both tablets are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset and run Android 17-based One UI 9. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra comes with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage, while the Galaxy Tab S12+ offers up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. Both devices support microSD cards of up to 2TB.

Samsung has confirmed seven OS upgrades and security updates for the tablets, along with Galaxy AI features.

The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra features a 13MP primary rear camera, an 8MP ultra-wide rear camera and a 12MP ultra-wide front camera. The S12+ has a 13MP rear camera and a 12MP ultra-wide front camera. Both models feature quad speakers with four-channel spatial audio.

For connectivity, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra supports 5G, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0, while the S12+ supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 6.0. Both tablets feature an in-display fingerprint sensor and an IP68-rated build.

The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is equipped with an 11,600mAh battery, while the S12+ has a 10,600mAh battery. Both models support 45W charging. According to the company, the Ultra model can provide up to 23 hours of video playback on a single charge, while the S12+ can provide up to 21 hours.

The new Galaxy Tab S12 series comes with an S Pen in the box. Both models support accessories including the Pro Keyboard and Book Cover Keyboard Slim. They also provide access to apps including Adobe Photoshop, Notability, GoodNotes, LumaFusion, Notion and Clip Studio Paint.

The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra measures 208.5 x 326.3 x 5.1 mm and weighs up to 695 grams, while the S12+ measures 187.8 x 289.5 x 5.3mm and weighs up to 555 grams.
