State Bank of India (SBI), India's largest public sector bank, has announced recruitment for 2964 Circle Based Officer (CBO) positions. Total Vacancies?
This recruitment drive will fill a total of 2964 positions. These positions will be located in SBI branches across various states and circles in India. Upon appointment as a Circle Based Officer, candidates will be posted within their assigned circle.
Educational Qualifications?
Applicants for the SBI CBO position must possess a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
Furthermore, candidates holding professional degrees such as Engineering, Medical, Chartered Accountant (CA), or Cost Accountant will also be eligible for this position.
Age Limit?
The candidate's age should be between 21 and 30 years as of April 30, 2025.
This means the candidate must have been born between May 1, 1995, and April 30, 2004.
Knowledge of Local Language Mandatory
Candidates must be proficient (reading, writing, and understanding) in the local language of the circle where they are applying. A language proficiency test may be conducted to ensure this.
Selection Process:
SBI CBO recruitment will be a three-stage process:
Online Test:
This will comprise two parts –
● Objective Test: 120 marks, 2 hours total
● Descriptive Test: 50 marks, 30 minutes (essay and letter writing in English, to be typed on a computer)
Screening: Shortlisted candidates' experience and profiles will be verified.
Interview: A 50-mark interview will be conducted. The final merit list will be prepared based on the total marks obtained in the online exam and interview.

- Application fee for General/OBC/EWS candidates: ₹750
- SC/ST/PwBD candidates are exempted from the application fee.
