At the Asian Shooting Championship, Sift Kaur Samra, Anjum Moudgil, and Ashi Chouksey won the gold medal in the women's 50-meter rifle three positions team event. The team scored a total of 1753 points, with Samra scoring 589, Ashi 586, and Anjum 578. In the team competition, Japan finished second with 1750 points, and South Korea third with 1745 points. With this brilliant victory, India demonstrated its strength in shooting and secured a top position in the Asian Championship.
After the team gold, Samra also delivered an outstanding performance in the individual category. In the final, she scored 459.2, defeating China's Yang Jiayu (458.8) and claiming the individual gold medal. Samra scored 151.0 in kneeling and 156.2 in prone during the final. In the standing elimination round, she edged out her Chinese rival by just 0.4 points. Japan's Nobata Misaki managed to win the bronze medal with 448.2 points. Ashi Chouksey finished seventh with 402.8 points.
In the qualification round, Samra scored 589 points, while Ashi scored 586 and Anjum 578. With this outstanding performance, Samra added her fourth Asian gold to her career.
