Thieves stole approximately 22 lakh rupees worth of jewelry from the house of Arjunlal Dhayal in Shyamapura Khachariyawas village, Sikar. Police, the dog squad, and the MOB team have collected evidence from the scene.
Sikar: A major theft occurred on Monday night in Shyamapura Khachariyawas village, under the jurisdiction of the Dantaramgarh police station in Sikar district. The thieves arrived in the village on a motorcycle with a well-planned operation. They first surveyed a few houses nearby and, seeing an opportunity, targeted the house of Arjunlal Dhayal.
The thieves used a ladder to carry out the theft. They climbed onto the roof of the house using the ladder and created a way to enter from there. They then reached the rooms downstairs using the internal stairs of the house. The entire incident was carried out so quietly that the people sleeping inside the house were not even aware.
Sleeping People Locked in Rooms
The thieves displayed great cunning while committing the theft. They locked the rooms in which family members were sleeping from the outside. This prevented anyone from leaving. The thieves then broke the locks of boxes and cupboards kept in the house.
The gold and silver jewelry and valuable items kept in the cupboards were taken away by the thieves. It is estimated that the stolen jewelry is worth around 22 lakh rupees. The thieves ransacked the entire house, leaving the items in the rooms scattered around.
Incident Came to Light Due to Villagers' Vigilance
It is reported that before the theft, the thieves had also tried to enter two or three other houses in the village, but were unsuccessful. During this time, some villagers noticed suspicious activities at night. Suspecting a theft in the village, they immediately informed Arjunlal by phone.
Upon receiving the information, Arjunlal checked the house. He found that the doors of several rooms were locked from the outside. When the doors were opened, the family was shocked to see the scene inside. The cupboards were open and the belongings were scattered.
Police Investigating
The thieves were so cunning that they also broke a street light in the village, so that they could not be identified by anyone taking advantage of the darkness. The police also found tire marks of a motorcycle near the scene, confirming that the thieves had arrived by motorcycle. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot. The dog squad and the MOB team were also called, who collected important clues from the scene. The police are also investigating CCTV cameras installed in the surrounding areas.
The police say that a thorough investigation of the matter is underway. Efforts will be made to identify and arrest the thieves soon. The theft in the village has created an atmosphere of fear and resentment among the villagers.
