SSC JE 2025: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the official notification for the Junior Engineer (JE) examination 2025. Under this recruitment drive, eligible candidates will be appointed to a total of 1340 posts. The application process has commenced on June 30, 2025, and interested candidates can apply online until July 21, 2025.

Who Can Apply

To apply for the SSC JE 2025 examination, candidates must have an Engineering degree or diploma in the relevant trade (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical) from a recognized institution. In addition, the age limit is determined according to the posts.

Age will be calculated as on January 1, 2026. Age relaxation will be provided to reserved categories as per the rules.

Application Fee and Payment Process

For SSC JE 2025, candidates from the General, OBC, and EWS categories will have to pay an application fee of ₹100. However, candidates from Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Divyang, and female candidates do not have to pay any fee.

One Time Registration (OTR) is Mandatory

One Time Registration (OTR) is mandatory to participate in any SSC recruitment. If a candidate has already done OTR, they do not need to register again. They can directly complete the application process.

Phases Involved in the Recruitment Process

The SSC JE 2025 examination will be conducted in two stages:

Paper 1 (CBE I): This will be a computer-based examination with objective-type questions.

Paper 2 (CBE II): This will also be a computer-based examination, but it will thoroughly test technical knowledge.

Only candidates who qualify in Paper 1 will be eligible to appear for Paper 2. The final selection will be based on merit.
