A serious criminal incident has been reported in Mahoba district, where a student was shot and critically injured after attempting to prevent the abduction of his friend.
According to available information, the injured student was travelling with his friend when a group of youths attempted to forcibly abduct the friend. When the student protested and intervened to stop the abduction, the assailants attacked him. He was first assaulted and then shot by one of the attackers.
After being shot, the student collapsed at the scene, causing panic in the area. The attackers fled immediately after the incident. People present nearby took the injured student to a local hospital, where his condition is reported to be critical. Doctors stated that the bullet is lodged in his body and treatment is ongoing.
Police reached the scene after receiving information about the incident and began an investigation. Evidence was collected from the spot, and statements from local residents are being recorded. Preliminary inquiry indicates that the accused are known for previous involvement in disputes in the area.
