Tejashwi Yadav Accuses BJP of Voter List Manipulation in Bihar

The political temperature in Bihar is continuously rising regarding the voter list. On this issue, Tejashwi Yadav has launched a b attack on the BJP and the central government. Tejashwi, posting on X (formerly Twitter), wrote that there are a total of 7 crore 90 lakh voters in Bihar.

Bihar Voter List Revision News: The politics has heated up in Bihar regarding the revision of the voter list before the upcoming assembly elections of 2025. RJD leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav has once again targeted the BJP and the Election Commission on this issue. Tejashwi Yadav alleges that a conspiracy is being hatched at the behest of the BJP to remove voters' names from the voter list in order to influence the election results.

Tejashwi Yadav, through a long post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), claimed that there are a total of 7 crore 90 lakh voters in Bihar. He questioned, "Imagine if even 1% of the voters' names are removed from the list, then about 7 lakh 90 thousand voters will be removed. While their intention is to remove 4-5% of the votes."

Tejashwi Yadav explains the entire equation of vote cutting

In his post, Tejashwi Yadav said that if 1% i.e. 7.90 lakh voters' names are removed, then if this is divided into 243 assembly seats of Bihar, then about 3,251 votes can be reduced in each assembly. Tejashwi Yadav further wrote, "There are a total of 77,895 polling booths in Bihar. There are an average of 320 booths in each assembly. If only 10 votes are removed from each booth, then 3,200 votes can be removed per assembly. This math clearly shows that a particular booth and a particular class are being targeted."

Tejashwi Yadav cited the figures of the 2015 and 2020 assembly elections to strengthen his claims. He said that: In the 2015 elections, there were 15 seats where the victory or defeat margin was less than 3,000 votes. In 2020, the number of such seats increased to 35. If we talk about a margin of up to 5,000 votes, there were 32 such seats in 2015 and 52 in 2020.

Tejashwi Yadav claims that the BJP is targeting these close margin seats, where the results can be influenced by removing names from the voter list at the booth level.

Tejashwi Yadav's attack on BJP and Election Commission

Tejashwi Yadav said, "The focus of the BJP and the Election Commission is especially on those seats and those sections where the BJP is afraid of losing. Their conspiracy is that booth-wise, names of particular classes should be removed and in this way, the equation of the seats should be changed. But we are alert and the RJD workers are going to every village and every house and exposing their trickery."

Tejashwi said in clear words that, "We will not let democracy end like this. The RJD will bly fight for the rights of the people." This statement of Tejashwi Yadav has come at a time when a Special Revision campaign is being run in Bihar before the elections. The Election Commission says that this process is regular so that the names of dead, duplicate or transferred voters can be removed.

But the opposition alleges that selected classes and communities are being targeted through this. Tejashwi Yadav said, "The BJP knows that the people of Bihar have rejected them, so now they are playing with democracy."
