Telangana Congress in Turmoil: Bhatti Questions Leadership Over Rajagopal Reddy's Missed Ministerial Post

Controversy continues in Telangana Congress over the distribution of ministerial posts. Mallu Bhatti has questioned the party leadership for not making Rajagopal Reddy a minister, increasing discontent within the party.

Telangana Politics: Political turmoil in Telangana Congress shows no signs of abating. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has directly questioned the party leadership for not giving a ministerial post to Munugode MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy. His statement comes at a time when discontent within the Congress regarding leadership is deepening. This matter could further increase the difficulties for Rahul Gandhi and the Congress high command.

Deputy Chief Minister Expresses Displeasure Over Not Getting a Ministerial Post

Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka clearly stated in a local TV interview that the Congress high command had promised to give Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy a ministerial post before the elections. Bhatti also said that he himself was aware of this promise and was working to ensure it.

However, when the cabinet was formed, difficulties arose in giving Rajagopal Reddy a ministerial post due to social and caste balance. According to Bhatti, there was a lack of social and caste balance in the cabinet, and this is why Rajagopal Reddy could not be accommodated. Additionally, his elder brother Komatireddy Venkat Reddy was already handling important departments, making it even more difficult to balance the cabinet expansion.

The Issue of Social and Caste Balance Becomes a Major Reason

Bhatti Vikramarka said that there are still major challenges regarding social and caste equations within the Congress. These challenges are not only hindering the distribution of ministerial posts but are also fueling discontent and factionalism within the party.

At a time when the party should move forward unitedly, such rhetoric can prove harmful to the image of the Congress, especially when the party has to play a b opposition role in the upcoming elections.

Rajagopal Reddy's Stance: Fulfilling Promises More Important Than Ministerial Post

Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy welcomed Bhatti's words and said that he is grateful to Bhatti for confirming that the party high command had promised him a ministerial post. However, he clarified that a ministerial post is not the most important thing for him.

Rajagopal Reddy alleged that some state-level leaders are creating obstacles in fulfilling this promise and are humiliating him. He also said that his goal is to fulfill the promises made to the people and to create a corruption-free government.
