US Update: U.S. President Donald Trump is making every possible effort to establish peace in Gaza. Trump claims to have devised a plan to end the long-standing conflict. However, Hamas has not yet given a clear consent to this peace proposal.
Trump's Gaza Peace Plan
Trump's peace plan aims to end the long-standing conflict between Gaza and Israel. The plan states that Hamas must surrender and lay down its weapons to establish lasting peace in the region. Additionally, the plan includes a promise to send humanitarian aid to Gaza and rebuild the city.
According to Gaza's Ministry of Health, over 66,000 people have died in the previous conflict so far. Trump's plan also emphasizes that all parties must take responsibility to stop violence in Gaza.
Hamas's Reaction
Hamas has not yet given any clear consent to Trump's plan. The organization stated that it would consider the proposal and respond later. It is unclear whether Hamas will accept the plan.
Meanwhile, Israel has already endorsed Trump's plan. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated after meeting with Trump at the White House that his country stands with this peace proposal.
Israel's Stance
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar stated in Belgrade that Israel has accepted the plan, and now it remains to be seen what stance Hamas will take. Sa'ar said, "We want to see our hostages return safely after two years and a Gaza that is free of radicalism and weapons. Such a Gaza would pose no threat to Israel and its citizens."
Russia Also Expresses Hope
Russia has also adopted a positive stance regarding Trump's plan. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia welcomes this initiative and hopes that the plan will be implemented and help establish lasting peace in the Middle East.
