Trump Warns Tech Companies on China Manufacturing and Indian Hiring at AI Summit

Former US President Donald Trump has once again adopted a strict stance regarding technology companies. This time, he has issued an open warning regarding establishing manufacturing units in China and hiring employees from India. At the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Summit held on Wednesday, Trump, displaying his old fervor, said that tech companies must now prioritize national interest. He stated unequivocally that there would be no compromise on the ‘America First’ policy.

Trump Lashes Out at Radical Globalism

During the AI Summit, Trump targeted several major American tech companies, stating that they had adopted the path of radical globalism. This has caused millions of Americans to feel deceived and betrayed. He said that the American tech industry has chosen paths that have made the people of the country feel left behind.

Trump said, “For a long time, our tech companies took advantage of America's freedom, but they set up their production units in China, recruited employees from India, and channeled profits to countries like Ireland to save on taxes. All this will not work in Trump's America now.”

Raises Questions on Hiring from India

Former President Trump specifically mentioned India, saying that large American companies are hiring a large number of Indian employees. He questioned why people are being brought in from outside when millions of young people in America possess technical skills. According to Trump, this is an injustice to the country's youth.

A New Definition of Nationalism in the Name of AI

At the AI Summit, Trump described Artificial Intelligence as America's next big battle and said that ‘national loyalty’ is necessary to win in this technology race. He said, “We have to make America the global leader in the field of AI, and for this, the technology sector will have to change its intentions.”

Trump clearly told tech companies that they must adopt the principle of ‘America First’. He also said that the time has come for Silicon Valley companies to not just run after profits, but also understand the interests of the country.

Three New Orders Regarding AI

At the AI Summit, Trump signed three new executive orders. The first order is to implement the White House Action Plan, which will strategically strengthen America's AI capabilities. The second order is to prepare a National Strategy to promote AI technology globally. Its aim is to reach AI solutions made in America all over the world through exports.

Under the third order, American universities and private companies have been asked to work together to train domestic talent, so that dependence on employees from abroad can be eliminated.

Trump Says Tech Companies Have to Work for America

In his old nationalist fervor, Trump said, “We want our tech companies to work only for America. Factories should be set up here, employees should be hired from here, and profits should also remain in America. Now America's money will not go abroad.”

He said that his government's aim is to connect the technology industry with patriotism. According to Trump, the era is over when companies compromised America's values for the sake of profit.

Indications of Displeasure in the Tech Industry

While some people found a message of patriotism in Trump's statements, many experts in the tech industry are seeing it as an intervention in commercial freedom. Although there has been no official reaction to this statement from any major tech company so far, according to sources, many companies are expressing concern about this issue.

Has Raised His Voice Before Too

This is not the first time that Donald Trump has questioned America's tech companies and their global operations. In his previous term too, he kept raising this issue continuously. He had taken steps like imposing a ban on H-1B visas, imposing heavy taxes on imports from China, and encouraging companies to manufacture in America.

At the AI Summit, Trump once again reiterated the same fervor and warned the technology sector that they will now have to change. Trump's clear message is that if he comes to power again, no step against American interests will be tolerated.

Also Hinted at Further Strategy

Trump also said that in the next few months, he is going to make even bigger announcements related to AI, technology, and national security. He said that every necessary step will be taken to take America to the top in the field of technology, even if it means moving away from globalism.
