West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee bly criticized the central government during her tour of North Bengal. Addressing a public meeting in Jalpaiguri, she leveled several serious allegations against Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government.

Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee launched a sharp attack on the central BJP government during her tour of North Bengal. At a rally in Jalpaiguri, she criticized Prime Minister Modi's government over issues such as NRC notices being sent to people from Bengal from Assam, atrocities against migrant workers in other states, and the central government's interference in the federal structure.

She stated that this move is not only an attack on people's rights but also weakens the autonomy of the states. She registered a b protest in harsh words against the atrocities on migrant workers, the sending of NRC notices to people from Bengal from Assam, and the center's interference in the federal structure. She clearly stated, "Delhi will not run Bengal, Bengal will run Bengal."

Mamata's Firm Stance on Atrocities Against Migrant Workers

Mamata Banerjee said that injustice and atrocities against migrant workers from Bengal are increasing in various parts of the country, such as Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Maharashtra, Bihar, and Madhya Pradesh. She alleged that Bengali-speaking people are being targeted as 'Bangladeshis' and attempts are being made to forcibly deport them from the country.

She said, "We treat people from other states in Bengal with love and respect, but we will not tolerate atrocities against our own people." She warned, "Let's see who has how much courage and how much they can commit atrocities. Bengal will stand up for its rights."

The Issue of NRC Notices and Harassment from Assam

CM Mamata Banerjee bly protested against the sending of NRC notices to residents of Bengal from Assam. She stated that this step is not only divisive but also spreads fear and insecurity in society. She said, "Our people are working hard in every part of the country. Harassing them is not only inhumane but also against the spirit of the constitution."

Accusing the central government of interfering in the federal structure, Mamata Banerjee said that the states' processes are being hampered by rushing through important tasks like the revision of voter lists. She said, "Last time, this work took two years. Now they are talking about completing it in two to three months. How is this possible? This is tantamount to questioning the administrative capacity of the states."
