The UP government has implemented a scheme to provide stationery to children in government schools and Anganwadis every month. Each center will be given ₹1000. The scheme will improve children's learning and skills-based activities.
UP News: The Uttar Pradesh government has taken a significant step for children studying in government schools and Anganwadis in the state. Now, young children will receive stationery materials every month. This initiative is being implemented under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan. According to the government's plan, children will be provided with materials such as pencils, crayons, watercolors, charts, flashcards, and worksheets for creative learning and skills-based activities.
Each Center to Receive a Monthly Budget
Under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, the state government has released the first installment. A total of ₹2653.70 lakh has been released. Each Anganwadi center and Balvatika will be provided with ₹1000 per month to purchase stationery. This facility will continue for ten months, with a total expenditure of ₹5307 lakh.
Promoting Children's Creativity
Director General of School Education Kanchan Verma has given clear instructions to all Basic Education Officers to ensure that the received materials are used in children's skills-based activities and learning. Children will also be taught to keep the materials they use every day safe so that they can be used the next day as well.
The responsibility for purchasing and distributing stationery will lie with the Vidyalaya Prabandh Samiti (School Management Committee). This will include the headmaster, Anganwadi worker, supervisor, and pre-primary nodal teacher. The responsibility for monthly review has been given to the DIET (District Institute of Education and Training) principal. They will monitor the progress of each center and send reports at the district level.
With this scheme, children's early education will no longer be limited to books. Learning will become more interesting through colors and pictures. This will enhance children's creativity and make the learning experience more interactive.
