UP News: Speculation about changes in the Uttar Pradesh BJP organization and cabinet has intensified following Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's visit to Delhi. After meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP President JP Nadda, it is believed that the announcement of a new state president and a potential cabinet expansion may occur soon.

Delhi Visit Fuels Speculation

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's recent visit to Delhi has stirred activity in Uttar Pradesh politics. He met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP National President JP Nadda all in one day. These meetings took place at a time when discussions about changes in the state president position and cabinet expansion in Uttar Pradesh are intense.

Message from Meeting Three Major Leaders

Yogi Adityanath first met with JP Nadda in Delhi on Saturday. Following this, he paid a courtesy visit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and finally, Amit Shah. Yogi shared pictures of these meetings on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Modi, describing him as the "world's most popular leader." He wrote that he received valuable guidance from the Prime Minister.

Announcement of State President Likely Soon

According to BJP insiders, the party is close to making a final decision on the name of the state president. The announcement of a new state president has been awaited since the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. It is now believed that a decision may be made before the monsoon session of the legislature, which begins in August. During this time, there is also discussion about including current state president Bhupendra Chaudhary in the cabinet.

Hints of Cabinet Expansion

After the appointment of the state president, the process of cabinet expansion may also begin. Under this, the BJP may work on a strategy to balance caste equations. Keeping the Panchayat elections and upcoming assembly elections in mind, some new faces may be included. There is also a possibility of reshuffling the portfolios of existing ministers.

Organization Minister and Other Leaders Also Active

Along with Yogi Adityanath's Delhi visit, other senior leaders of the state also appeared active. State Organization Minister Dharampal Singh and State President Bhupendra Chaudhary met with Home Minister Amit Shah in Bareilly. In addition, both Deputy Chief Ministers—Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak—have also recently visited Delhi and met with party leadership. These meetings are also being linked to potential organizational and administrative changes.

Discussion on Conversion Network as Well

During the meetings in Delhi, Chief Minister Yogi also shared information regarding the recently exposed international network of religious conversion in the state and the organizations involved. The central leadership was also informed on this matter, which clearly indicates that the government is going to adopt an even stricter stance regarding cases of religious conversion in the state.
