The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has extended the last date for submitting online applications for the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy (NDA/NA 2) Examination 2026 and the Combined Defence Services (CDS 2) Examination 2026. Candidates can now apply online until 6:00 pm on June 11, 2026.
The Commission has provided additional time for candidates who have not yet completed the application process. Eligible and interested applicants may submit their forms within the revised deadline.
UPSC stated that the application window will close after the specified deadline. Candidates have been advised to complete the application process well before the closing time.
Applications can be submitted through the official UPSC online portal at upsconline.nic.in. The application process is entirely online. Candidates are required to create a new account on the portal, complete the registration process, log in, fill out the application form, and provide the required details.
After completing the form, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee and submit their applications. Applicants are advised to retain a printout of the submitted form for future reference.
For NDA and NA recruitment, candidates belonging to the General category are required to pay an application fee of Rs 100, while the fee for the CDS 2 examination is Rs 200. Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories are exempt from the application fee. Fees can be paid through online modes.
For NDA posts, candidates must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board. For admission to the Naval Academy, candidates must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics. The age limit for these posts is between 16.5 and 19 years.
For the CDS 2 examination, candidates must hold a graduate degree or an engineering degree from a recognised university or institution. Depending on the post, the upper age limit ranges from 24 to 25 years, with the minimum age set at 19 years.
Candidates preparing to become officers in the Indian Army, Indian Navy or Indian Air Force can complete their applications before the revised deadline expires.
