Uttar Pradesh is experiencing intense heat, with temperatures crossing 43 degrees Celsius in several cities across the state. Strong sunlight since morning and hot afternoon winds have affected daily life. According to the Meteorological Department, the impact of the heat is likely to continue for the next few days, although pre-monsoon activity is expected to begin from June 11.

Residents in several districts are facing severe heat and humidity. Roads are witnessing reduced activity during afternoon hours, with people stepping out only for essential work. Demand for cold beverages, fruits and ice has increased in markets as people seek relief from the weather conditions.

The heat is also affecting wildlife housed in zoos. Special water pools have been created for tigers in several zoos, where they are spending extended periods in the water to cope with the high temperatures. Images and videos showing a tiger bathing and resting in a water pool have attracted public attention.

Special arrangements have also been made for deer and other herbivorous animals. Sprinklers have been installed inside enclosures to help maintain relatively cooler conditions. Zoo authorities are providing additional water, seasonal fruits and special diets designed to help animals cope with the heat. Continuous water spraying is also being carried out around enclosures at several locations.

According to weather scientists, hot and dry winds are currently prevailing across the state, keeping temperatures above normal levels. However, indications suggest increasing moisture from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea. As a result, pre-monsoon rainfall may begin around June 11. If the system becomes active, it could provide relief from the prevailing heat.

Health experts have advised people to avoid exposure to direct sunlight during afternoon hours, drink sufficient water and remain hydrated. Children, elderly people and those with illnesses have been urged to take additional precautions. The continued rise in temperatures has also increased the risk of heat stroke and dehydration.

Authorities across various cities in the state remain on alert. Arrangements for drinking water at public places are being expanded, and awareness campaigns are being conducted on measures to prevent heat-related illnesses. Water facilities have also been arranged for animals and birds at several locations.

Uttar Pradesh remains under the influence of severe heat conditions. Both people and wildlife are seeking relief from the high temperatures, with attention now focused on the possibility of pre-monsoon rainfall from June 11, which may provide respite from the heat.
