Uttarkashi Cloudburst: Following the severe natural disaster in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the affected area of Dharali on Wednesday. He first conducted an aerial survey to assess the situation and then reached the disaster control room in Uttarkashi to review relief and rescue operations. The Chief Minister directed officials to expedite relief efforts. He received objective information from army and administrative officials and instructed them to provide all possible assistance.
Rescue and Medical Camp Arrangements
Chief Minister Dhami informed that rescue operations and medical aid camps have been established in the Dharali area. In addition, arrangements have been made for food, medicines, and essential supplies for the affected people. He said that relief work is being carried out on a war footing and the state government is fully committed to helping the affected citizens.
Chinook and MI-17 Helicopters Deployed
The Chief Minister stated that the Indian Air Force's Chinook and MI-17 helicopters are fully prepared to take immediate action if needed. These helicopters are not only delivering relief supplies but also transporting heavy machinery to the Dharali area, which will help expedite road repairs, debris removal, and other essential tasks.
Met with Affected Individuals, Offered Reassurance
Upon reaching Dharali, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met with the people affected by the disaster and inquired about their well-being. He assured the affected families that the state government will provide all possible assistance and that no victimized family will be deprived of help. He also met with the personnel engaged in relief operations and appreciated their work. He also directed them to ensure that relief materials reach every needy person in a timely manner.

The Chief Minister gave clear instructions that there should be no negligence in relief and rescue operations. Essential relief materials and medical services should be delivered to all affected areas on time. Supply of Materials and Machinery by Helicopter
To accelerate relief efforts, food items and essential supplies have been delivered to the Dharali area with the help of two helicopters. In addition, heavy machinery has been sent by Chinook helicopter, which will help to clear roads and complete necessary construction work quickly.
State Government's Priority
The Chief Minister reiterated that the state government's highest priority is to ensure that relief reaches every affected person and that normal conditions are restored in the area as soon as possible.
