Patna: Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha on Wednesday clarified his position regarding the EPIC number and age controversy and launched a scathing attack on Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He stated that by making his matriculation degree public, he has responded to all allegations, and now legal notices will be sent to those who question his degree or age.
Vijay Sinha said that the opposition parties are turning the question of his degree into a political issue. He also mentioned that he has responded to the notice sent by the Election Commission and that his Patna EPIC number has now been corrected.
Clarification on EPIC Number Controversy and Age
The Deputy Chief Minister clarified that the error in the EPIC number was technical and has been rectified. He said, "According to my matriculation degree, my age in 2024 is 57 years. Based on this fact, I have no fear of the opposition's allegations. If RJD and Congress have the courage, they should also make their education and certificates public."
According to experts, this incident shows how important digital data and information like voter IDs have become for political trust and transparency. Verification of EPIC numbers and digital records can play a crucial role in reducing political disputes in the future.
Targeting Tejashwi Yadav and Rahul Gandhi
Vijay Sinha alleged that Congress and RJD leaders are the ones who talk about taking land in exchange for jobs, but now they are questioning his degree. He said, "It is ridiculous for those who used to give students a graduation degree in six years to raise questions about age. I have placed my degree before everyone."
Meanwhile, he challenged the opposition to also make their degrees and age proofs public. This move of his indicates that in today's politics, digital proofs and transparency have become a new weapon to prove the credibility of leaders.
Sin and Political Dispute
Vijay Sinha reiterated his sharp stance. He said, "We have fought against sin and corruption, we have fought against your father, and we will fight against you too. I will send legal notices to those who are questioning my degree."
He also challenged Lalu Yadav and Rabri Devi to give statements on the age and degrees of their sons. This statement has become a topic of discussion in the political circles of Bihar.
