This feature works through Meta's Account Center, and after verification, a social icon will appear on the profile, allowing contacts to identify the authentic account. Along with this, new options such as scheduling video calls and reacting to conversations have also been introduced to make the user experience more interactive and secure.
Instagram Account Linking is Now More Secure
WhatsApp's new feature allows users to link their Instagram accounts directly to their WhatsApp profiles via Meta's Account Center. After account verification, a social icon will appear on the profile, enabling contacts to immediately recognize the account as genuine. Previously, users could display their Instagram account, but the lack of verification sometimes caused confusion.
This change ensures trustworthy connections for users and provides seamless connectivity between social media platforms. Based on feedback during beta testing, it will be rolled out to all users in a phased manner in the future.
Schedule Calls and Improvements in Call Tabs
