White House Denies Pakistani Media Claims of Trump's Pakistan Visit. Trump Will Not Visit Pakistan at This Time. His UK Trip is Already Scheduled for September.
Trump Pak Visit: For the past few days, discussions have been gaining momentum in Pakistani media regarding a potential visit by US President Donald Trump to Pakistan in September 2025. However, on Friday, the White House put an end to all such speculation, clarifying that Trump will not be traveling to Pakistan at this time.
Pakistan's Foreign Ministry has also denied any knowledge of the matter. Following this clarification, Pakistan has once again faced embarrassment on the international stage, as its media outlets were running such reports without confirmation.
Pakistani Media's Misleading Claim
On Thursday, Pakistani media, citing unnamed sources, reported that US President Donald Trump would visit Islamabad in September. It was also stated that Trump might visit India after his trip to Pakistan. Several channels and newspapers prominently featured this news.
However, these reports were removed shortly after the White House's response. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated that there are no plans for Trump to visit Pakistan, and the news circulating in the media is completely false.
Pakistan's Foreign Office Also Unaware
Responding to these media reports, Pakistan's Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan said that the government has no information regarding any such visit. He appealed to the media not to run such news without official confirmation.
Trump's Scheduled Program: UK Visit
According to the White House, US President Donald Trump will travel to the UK between September 17 and 19, 2025. During this time, he will meet with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer to strengthen bilateral trade agreements.
Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated that during this trip, Trump will also visit Turnberry and Aberdeen in Scotland, where he will meet with British leadership. First Lady Melania Trump will also be present with him.
US-UK Trade Agreement
Notably, a new trade agreement between the US and the UK came into effect on June 30, 2025. Under this agreement, the US has reduced export duties on British automobile and aerospace products. This will facilitate British companies to sell their products in the US market at competitive rates.
