Windows 11 has launched a new automatic logging feature to quickly identify the root cause of slow system issues.
Microsoft: Windows 11 users have long been troubled by the slow performance of their computers. Frequent system hangs, lags during gaming, and interruptions in multitasking – all these problems have been affecting the user experience. Now, Microsoft has found a solution to this problem. The company has introduced a new Automatic Logging System for Windows 11, which will help identify and resolve user issues in real-time.
What is this new feature?
Microsoft has named this feature 'Automatic Performance Logging.' Its purpose is that whenever a user registers a complaint about their system's performance through the Feedback Hub — such as the laptop running slowly, freezing, or applications opening late — Windows will automatically log the system data at that time. This logging system will work in the background without disturbing the user and send this data to Microsoft's developers so that they can quickly and accurately identify the real technical problem.
How will this system work?
- The user will have to go to the Feedback Hub and register a complaint.
- As soon as the user reports a slow system, Windows 11 will automatically capture real-time performance data.
- This data will then be sent to Microsoft, where developers can analyze it.
- This will include information such as RAM, CPU usage, background processes, and storage lag.
This process will not only provide the user with a quick solution, but system upgrades and updates will also be more effective than before.
Who is this feature for?
Currently, this feature has been made available to Windows Insider Preview users, who are part of Microsoft's beta tester program. In the coming months, it may also be rolled out to general Windows 11 users.
Why was this change necessary?
Windows 11 was launched in October 2021, and since then, many types of complaints have been received regarding its performance, such as:
- Slower performance compared to Windows 10
- FPS drops during gaming
- Unstable response on different hardware
- Poor performance on newer CPUs compared to older OS
Microsoft has so far worked on improving the UI, taskbar, and notification area, but now it is directly focusing on what is happening "inside" the system.
What will the upcoming 25H2 update bring?
Microsoft is going to release the Windows 11 25H2 update in 2025, which will see many major technical changes. The focus will be specifically on:
- Static Code Analysis: Driver developers will now get a tool that allows them to identify code vulnerabilities early on.
- Core OS Interface Optimization: Windows' core interface will be made more agile and responsive.
- Real-Time Diagnosis: The ability to quickly catch and correct performance problems will increase.
- AI-enabled suggestions: The system will suggest to the user which app or setting is slowing down the system.
User privacy will remain secure
Microsoft has also clarified that the data taken from the logging system will be completely encrypted and privacy-focused. No personal information will be used without the user's permission.
Microsoft's new bet in global competition
Giants like Apple and Google have already integrated technologies like AI and real-time system analysis into their operating systems. With this new feature, Microsoft is not only modernizing its OS, but also taking concrete steps to improve the user experience.
