Ghaziabad: A shocking incident recently at the Mahindra showroom in Nirman Vihar, East Delhi, has garnered significant attention on social media. While purchasing a new Mahindra Thar from the showroom, the woman driver's car fell directly onto the road through a broken glass window on the first floor. Following the accident, several rumors spread on social media, including false reports of the woman's death. Now, Pawar, a Ghaziabad resident who was involved in this accident, has come forward on Instagram to refute these rumors.
Refuting Rumors on Social Media
Pawar released a video on her Instagram account stating, "The purpose of making this video is to expose false news. Some people have released fake videos to gain views and likes, claiming that my nose is broken, my bones are broken, and I've even died. I want to clarify that all of this is fake news. I am perfectly fine." She further added, "I am alive, not dead. Please stop spreading fake videos and false news."
How Did the Accident Happen?
Sharing the full details of the accident, Pawar explained that she was in the car with her family and a salesman at the time of the incident. She said, "The car was at high RPM, and the salesman had already warned us. But suddenly, its speed increased, and control of the car was lost. The car broke through the glass on the first floor of the showroom and fell onto the road below."
As soon as the car fell, the airbags deployed, and everyone inside the car exited safely. She stated, "The three of us got out through the front doors, and none of us were injured."
Accident Immediately After Purchase
According to information, the woman had purchased the new Thar for approximately 27 lakh rupees from the Mahindra showroom only on Monday evening. She also performed the traditional pooja ceremony for the car at the showroom itself. During the ritual of rolling the car's wheel over a lemon, she accidentally pressed the accelerator too hard. The vehicle picked up such speed that it broke through the first-floor glass and fell about 15 feet onto the road below. At the time of the incident, along with Pawar and her family, a showroom employee was also present in the car.
Several questions have been raised following this incident. Experts believe that safety standards should be taken into account before the delivery of any new car. Especially when the showroom is on an upper floor, adequate safety arrangements are necessary to prevent such accidents. People on social media are also questioning the showroom's safety and demanding an investigation into how such a large vehicle could easily break through glass and fall down.
