According to security agencies, Jyoti admitted during interrogation to meeting Ahsan-ur-Rehim, alias Danish, an individual working at the Pakistan High Commission, in Delhi. Following this, she visited Pakistan twice, where she was introduced to a person named Ali Hassan. Ali Hassan then introduced her to Pakistani intelligence officials.
It is reported that during these meetings, Jyoti was given documents and electronic devices used to share sensitive information related to India. According to investigating agencies, she received financial benefits in return.
