BSNL Launches 'Yatra SIM' for Amarnath Pilgrims: Affordable Connectivity for Devotees

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched a special 'Yatra SIM' keeping in mind the needs of travelers. This SIM is available for less than 200 rupees, making it affordable for the common consumer.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched a new and special telecom service for devotees traveling on the Amarnath Yatra. The company has launched a new SIM card called 'Yatra SIM', priced at only 196 rupees. This SIM is especially for those who want to stay connected during this 38-day-long pilgrimage and want to talk to their relatives without network interruptions.

Amazing network will be available on the Amarnath Yatra route

BSNL has claimed that its 'Yatra SIM' will provide b network connectivity throughout the Amarnath Yatra route. The company says that special network infrastructure has been prepared for this, in which indigenous technology has been used. The special thing is that this service will also work in those areas where the network of other mobile companies is usually weak.

15 days of facility available for 196 rupees

The total price of the Yatra SIM is 196 rupees, in which users will get 15 days of validity. Through this SIM card, travelers will be able to take advantage of both calling and data. BSNL has designed it with the aim of completely improving the travel experience.

Yatra SIM can be obtained from these places

BSNL has set up camps at many major places on the Amarnath Yatra route, from where this Yatra SIM can be purchased. These camps will be mainly set up at places like Lakshmanpur, Bhagwati Nagar, Chandrakot, Pahalgam, and Baltal. Travelers will need to present their identity cards, such as an Aadhar card or valid photo ID, to buy the SIM.

Why this SIM is necessary for travelers

The Amarnath Yatra passes through a difficult and remote route, where sometimes network problems trouble travelers. Many times, in emergency situations, devotees are unable to contact their family or travel organizers. In such a situation, this special SIM card from BSNL can be helpful in overcoming this problem. With its help, continuous contact can be maintained during the journey.

Helpful for lakhs of devotees

This year's Amarnath Yatra has started from July 3, and it is estimated that lakhs of Shiva devotees will participate in this yatra. In such a situation, this Yatra SIM from BSNL can become a reliable technical support for them. The facility of communication in the Yatra will not only increase the convenience of the travelers but will also play an important role in their safety.

Benefit from BSNL's 4G service

BSNL is currently upgrading its network to 4G across the country and has specifically arranged high-speed internet service for the Amarnath Yatra. With this, devotees will not only be able to make calls but will also be able to easily share live locations, video calls, and other uses of the internet.

Such a plan has come before

In 2021 also, a special plan of 197 rupees was brought by BSNL, in which 15 days of validity was available. However, the plan at that time was not as focused as the Yatra SIM. This time the company has specially introduced this facility keeping in mind the Amarnath Yatra.

Another step towards Digital India

This step is not only important from the point of view of the convenience of the devotees but can also be seen as an effort to increase digital connectivity in rural and remote areas under the Digital India mission. This initiative of BSNL shows that government telecom companies are now also eager to provide services according to the needs of the customers.

Other schemes related to BSNL

BSNL is planning to launch similar schemes for other religious places in the country like Vaishno Devi, Kedarnath, Badrinath, etc. in the coming time. The company's aim is to provide a special and accessible telecom service to the passengers on every major pilgrimage route.
