Light rain in some areas early Sunday provided some relief from the heat, but Monday saw the minimum temperature reach 29°C, 9 degrees above normal.

According to the IMD, Delhi will experience cloud cover, b winds, and intermittent showers in the coming days. Humidity levels have also reached 68%, exacerbating the heat.

Rajasthan: Pre-Monsoon Rain Brings Relief

Many parts of Rajasthan have received pre-monsoon rain, providing relief from the persistent heat. On Sunday, districts like Jaipur, Alwar, Kota, and Ganganagar experienced light showers. Churu recorded a maximum temperature of 41.5°C, but this is expected to drop by 3-4 degrees in the coming days.

Heavy rain warnings have been issued for Bharatpur and Kota divisions. Strong winds and rain are expected to bring relief from the heat and further lower temperatures over the next 48 hours. Monsoon activity is likely to intensify in the state after June 20th, leading to widespread rainfall.

Madhya Pradesh: Monsoon Delayed, but Signs of Relief

The monsoon is expected to reach Madhya Pradesh a week later than usual. It is predicted to enter the state through the Chhindwara, Balaghat, and Dindori districts by June 21st-22nd. The southwest monsoon arrived in Kerala on May 24th, but its arrival in Madhya Pradesh has been delayed.

Rainfall is expected to intensify in parts of central Maharashtra and Gujarat over the next 24-48 hours, paving the way for the monsoon's arrival in MP.
