Unusual Theft at Engineering College in Madhya Pradesh: Thieves Cover Idols and Enjoy Cold Drinks

A startling theft has come to light in the Guna district of Madhya Pradesh. Thieves cleverly broke into JP Engineering College in Raghogarh, an area considered sensitive from a security perspective. Before making off with lakhs of rupees worth of jewelry and cash, the thieves covered the idols of deities kept in the houses with cloth, as if they were ashamed of their actions and wanted to hide from the eyes of the gods. This peculiar act has given a new dimension to the theft, and the incident has now become a topic of discussion.

How the Thieves Broke into the College Campus

The incident took place on the night of June 24, when most of the college professors were away due to the summer holidays. Taking advantage of the situation, the thieves entered the college by cutting the fencing and directly targeted the bungalows of five professors. The thieves broke the locks of all the bungalows one by one and took away jewelry, cash, and valuable items from the almirahs inside.

The most surprising thing is that the thieves covered the idols of deities kept in the houses with cloth. This act has become a topic of discussion because criminals usually do not show such 'sensitivity'.

The Thieves Drank Cold Drinks from the Fridge After the Theft

Furthermore, after committing the theft, the thieves took out cold drinks from the refrigerators kept in the bungalows and drank them comfortably before leaving. Professor Alpana Rathi said that goods worth lakhs of rupees were stolen from her house. She said that the thieves not only broke the locks and entered the house but also took away every valuable item kept in the almirah.

Another professor said that even though the college is called a high-security zone, the thieves were so audacious that they did not refrain from anything during the theft.

Police Investigation Underway

After receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot and an FIR was registered. ASP Mansingh Thakur said that the forensic team has inspected the spot and an investigation is being conducted with the help of CCTV footage. Currently, the accused are absconding and a search is underway.

This incident has raised the question that if such theft can occur even in institutions considered high security, then how b is the security system in general areas?
