As the Bihar assembly elections draw near, political activity is intensifying. At the BJP state executive meeting held in the capital Patna, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh made it clear that the upcoming elections will be fought under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. He stated that the NDA government has brought Bihar onto the path of development and no one can push it back again.
Rajnath Singh said that whether it's Chief Minister Nitish Kumar or the Deputy CM, not a single leader of the NDA has a blemish. He asserted that no one can prove this. He emphasized that this time the election will not be fought in the name of caste or dynasty. The election will be based solely on the issues of development, transparency, and good governance.
Direct Attack on Lalu-RJD and Congress
In his address, Rajnath Singh also targeted RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and the Congress. He said that the condition of Bihar earlier was due to these two parties. The RJD and Congress had pushed Bihar into the abyss of jungle raj, casteism, and corruption. He claimed that during the Lalu-Raj era, there was no rule of law, no security for women, and no direction for development.
Rajnath Singh said that that darkness is now a bygone era. Bihar is now on the path of development and self-reliance. He quipped that those who had taken Bihar to the depths yesterday are now talking about development. But the public knows everything and will also give an answer this time.
No Politics in the Name of Karpuri Thakur
Rajnath Singh, taking the name of Jananayak Karpuri Thakur, accused the RJD of a dual character. He said that those who used to abuse Karpuri Ji are today doing politics in his name. Lalu Yadav never even allowed Karpuri Ji to sit in his jeep, he said, and today they are paying him tribute.
Rajnath Singh also said that if anyone has given true respect to Karpuri Thakur, it is Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who honored him posthumously with the Bharat Ratna. He said that if anyone can truly carry forward the ideology of Karpuri Ji, it is only the NDA.
