Pakistani Army Success in Balochistan: Snipers Defeat Militants
The Pakistani Army recently successfully repelled an attack by militants on the Jaffar Express train in Balochistan, rescuing over 300 passengers. Militants wearing explosive vests had infiltrated the train, using women and children as human shields. However, Pakistani army snipers, through precise marksmanship and planning, successfully identified and neutralized the militants, ensuring the passengers' safety.
Successful Rescue Operation Due to Security Forces' Precise Planning
Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif, spokesperson for the Pakistani Army, stated that the rescue operation was conducted swiftly and cautiously. The army's advance was hampered by the militants' use of passengers as human shields. However, the sniper unit, from a distance, targeted militants concealed among the passengers, successfully firing at areas of their bodies not containing explosives. This precise planning was key to the operation's success.
28 Passengers Killed in Militant Attack; 33 Militants Killed
According to currently available information, 33 militants were killed, and 28 passengers perished. Among the deceased passengers, 27 were security personnel who were traveling incognito at the time of the attack. The Pakistani army reported that one security officer was killed in the ensuing gunfight.
Balochistan Liberation Army's Protest
The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) has disputed the Pakistani Army's casualty figures, creating uncertainty regarding the exact number of casualties. Consequently, the full picture remains unclear, and experts suggest further investigation is necessary.
