Pujari Granthi Samman Yojana: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has launched the 'Pujari Granthi Samman Yojana', a scheme for temple priests and gurudwara granthis, ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections. The registration process for this scheme began on December 31, 2024.

AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal inaugurated the scheme by visiting a temple dedicated to Hanuman at the Margh Ghat in the ISBT area. He performed the registration for a priest, marking the official launch of the 'Pujari Granthi Samman Yojana'. His wife, Sunita Kejriwal, was also present.
CM Atishi registers granthis at a gurudwara.
Chief Minister Atishi launched the scheme by registering granthis (religious leaders) at the Karol Bagh Gurudwara. CM Atishi also offered prayers at the gurudwara.
Arvind Kejriwal targets the BJP.
Taking to social media, Arvind Kejriwal criticized the BJP. He wrote, "The BJP tried their best to block the registration of this scheme, but no one can stop devotees from meeting God." He further stated, "Instead of abusing the BJP, they should implement this scheme in their own governments."
Political Rhetoric
Kejriwal, attacking the BJP, said that they have been in power in Gujarat and other states for 30 years but have taken no steps to honour priests and granthis. He asserted that instead of personal attacks, the BJP should implement this scheme in their state governments, benefiting the entire country.
