Congress Leader Khachariyawas Condemns ED Raid, Vows Retaliation if Congress Wins

Former Congress Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas expressed displeasure over the ED raid. He stated, "The raid was conducted without notice. If Rahul Gandhi comes to power, we will also take action against the BJP."

Rajasthan: Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted a raid at the residence of former Congress minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, prompting his b disapproval. Khachariyawas stated that the ED raided his home without prior notice, a fact he deemed inappropriate. Furthermore, he asserted that governments change, and if Rahul Gandhi comes to power, the Congress would take similar action against the BJP.

ED Investigation into the PACL Scam

The ED is investigating the ₹2,850 crore PACL scam in Rajasthan, which involves questions surrounding the role of former minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas. PACL defrauded approximately 5.85 crore investors across the country. SEBI took action in 2014, and the case subsequently reached the Supreme Court. A recovery committee was formed in 2016, tasked with recovering assets worth ₹1.86 lakh crore.

Khachariyawas' Statement

Khachariyawas stated that he is fully cooperating with the ED, but simultaneously accused the BJP government of using agencies for political purposes. He said, "I am not afraid of these governments. I am capable of handling them." Khachariyawas also clarified that no chit fund case is pending against him.

"Governments Change"

Khachariyawas stated that "governments change," and if Rahul Gandhi comes to power, similar action would be taken against the BJP. He maintained, "We are not afraid of anyone. The BJP can conduct as many searches as they want; we will fully cooperate with the authorities, but we will not be intimidated."
