Ghaziabad residents have received welcome news: an AIIMS satellite center is to be constructed in Vasundhara Sector-7, providing advanced medical facilities to the National Capital Region (NCR) and western Uttar Pradesh.
Sahibabad: Ghaziabad residents have received welcome news. An AIIMS satellite center is to be built in Vasundhara Sector-7, providing advanced medical facilities to the NCR and western Uttar Pradesh. This much-anticipated project received approval during a meeting of the Uttar Pradesh Awas Vikas Parishad in Lucknow.
The center, costing ₹487 crore, will be built on 10 acres of allocated land. This state-of-the-art facility in Vasundhara Sector-7 will provide superior healthcare to millions in Trans Hindon, Ghaziabad, and surrounding areas.
Easing the Burden on Delhi AIIMS
This location was chosen for its proximity to the Namo Bharat station, Delhi-Meerut Expressway, NH-9, an elevated road, Anand Vihar railway station, and Kaushambi bus depot. The nearby Hindon Airport will also facilitate access for patients from distant areas. This AIIMS satellite center will help alleviate the increasing patient burden on Delhi AIIMS, which currently sees thousands of patients daily, leading to significant overcrowding. Now, patients from western Uttar Pradesh and the NCR will have access to high-quality healthcare in their own city.
Momentum Gained Through Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's Initiative
During a visit to Ghaziabad a few months ago, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced the construction of the AIIMS satellite center. Following this announcement, the administration began identifying potential locations. Vasundhara Sector-7 was deemed the most suitable, and the decision has now been officially confirmed. Uttar Pradesh's Housing Commissioner, Dr. Balkar Singh, stated that an excellent location has been provided for the AIIMS satellite center as per the Chief Minister's instructions. The land will soon be transferred to AIIMS to expedite the construction process.
Residents of Ghaziabad and Trans Hindon have welcomed this decision. There has been a long-standing demand for improved government medical facilities in this region, which is now set to be fulfilled. Experts believe this center will revolutionize healthcare services and provide relief to millions.
