Kunal Kamra posted a video on his social media account, a parody of a song from the Bollywood film "Dil To Pagal Hai," satirizing Eknath Shinde. The video went viral, provoking b reactions from Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) leaders.
Vandalism at Hotel and Studio
On Sunday, Shiv Sainiks vandalized the Habitat Studio and Hotel Unicontinental in Khar, Mumbai. They claimed the video was shot at these locations. Following this, an FIR was registered against Kunal Kamra at the MIDC police station, based on a complaint filed by Shiv Sena MLA Mruraj Patel.
Strong Reactions from Shiv Sena Leaders
Responding to the issue, Shiv Sena MP Milind Deora wrote on social media that mocking Eknath Shinde was inappropriate. He stated, "Eknath Shinde, through his struggle, rose from an auto-rickshaw driver to the Deputy CM of Maharashtra. This comment reeks of class-based arrogance."
Another Shiv Sena MP, Naresh Mhaske, issued a warning, stating that Shiv Sena workers would pursue Kunal Kamra across the country. In a video message, he said, "You will be forced to flee India."
