West Bengal: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressed her dissatisfaction with the Supreme Court's ruling on the alleged SSC (Staff Selection Commission) recruitment scam. She clarified that the state government will not intervene in the matter as the SSC is an autonomous body. Mamata Banerjee stated, "If the court has directed the completion of a new selection process within three months, then we stand with the affected candidates on humanitarian grounds."
Targeting the BJP and the Central Government
The Chief Minister launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the central government, stating, "The BJP is repeatedly targeting Bengal. Suvendu Adhikari is saying that I am responsible for this. Why is Bengal always targeted?" She alleged that the central government wants to weaken Bengal's education system.

Counterattack on the BJP
Referring to the Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh, Mamata Banerjee said, "West Bengal's former education minister is in jail, but how many BJP leaders were arrested in the Madhya Pradesh Vyapam scam?" She claimed that the BJP is targeting Bengal's appointments for political reasons.
Mamata's appeal to those who lost their jobs
The Chief Minister also appealed to the candidates who lost their jobs. She said, "I will meet everyone who has lost their jobs. They should not lose hope. We will explore every possible solution for them."
