Sports News: Mumbai Indians' new all-rounder, Corbin Bosch, refused to play in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), angering the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), which issued him a notice. Bosch has now responded to the controversy. He clarified that rejecting the PSL was not a slight against the league but a strategic career decision.

"Didn't Reject PSL, Prioritized My Career"

Bosch stated, "I haven't disrespected the PSL. This was entirely a decision to further my career. The Mumbai Indians are one of the world's most successful franchises, and playing with them will give me the opportunity to take my game to new heights." He also clarified that he maintains respect for all cricket leagues, but every player has the right to make decisions that are best for their career.

Why Did the PCB Issue a Notice?

The Pakistan Cricket Board is upset with Bosch's decision because he disregarded a prior agreement with the PSL. The PCB believes Bosch violated the terms of his contract, hence the legal notice. Bosch was signed by the Mumbai Indians as a replacement for Lizard Williams in IPL 2025. He possesses excellent all-round abilities, and if he capitalizes on this opportunity, the IPL could significantly advance his career.

Bosch has played 1 Test and 2 One Day Internationals for South Africa. In Test cricket, he scored 81 runs and took 5 wickets, while in ODIs he scored 55 runs and took 2 wickets.
