Batting first after losing the toss, the UP Warriors made their intentions clear from the outset. Georgia Voll and Grace Harris launched a blistering opening partnership, adding 77 runs for the first wicket in just seven overs. Harris scored 39 runs, smashing seven fours and a six in her innings. However, she was unfortunately run out.
Following this, Kiran Navgire played a quickfire 46-run knock, further strengthening the team's position. Meanwhile, Georgia Voll continued her aggressive batting, scoring an unbeaten 99 runs off just 54 balls. She narrowly missed a century by a single run, but her explosive innings enthralled the spectators.
RCB's Struggling Innings
Chasing a massive target of 226 runs, RCB had a poor start. Captain Smriti Mandhana was dismissed for just four runs. However, S Meghana (27 runs, 12 balls) and Alice Perry (28 runs, 15 balls) adopted an aggressive approach, but they couldn't stay for long. Richa Ghosh played the best innings for her team, scoring a powerful 69 runs off 33 balls, including six fours and five sixes.
But after her dismissal, RCB's middle order faltered. Kanika Ahuja (8 runs), Georgia Wareham (17 runs), Charlie Dean (9 runs), Sneha Rana (26 runs), and Renuka Singh (1 run) failed to make significant contributions.
