Madhya Pradesh Unveils ₹4.20 Lakh Crore Budget Focused on Development

Madhya Pradesh's Finance Minister Jagdish Deora presented the state budget in the Assembly. The budget includes integrating Ladli Bahna beneficiaries with central government schemes, the construction of 100,000 kilometers of roads, and the announcement of a new investment policy.

MP Budget 2025: The Madhya Pradesh government has presented its budget for the fiscal year 2025-26. Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Jagdish Deora presented the ₹4.20 lakh crore budget in the Assembly. This budget focuses on the development of women, farmers, industries, and infrastructure. No new taxes have been imposed in this second budget of the Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav government.

Special Schemes for Women

- ₹18,669 crore has been allocated for the Chief Minister Ladli Bahna Yojana.
- ₹26,797 crore has been allocated for various schemes related to women's empowerment.
- New hostels will be constructed for working women.
- ₹3,729 crore has been allocated for Anganwadi services.

Significant Initiatives for Agriculture and Farmers

- Provision for zero-interest loans to farmers.
- ₹5,230 crore allocated for the Kisan Protsahan Yojana (Farmer Incentive Scheme).
- ₹700 crore allocated under the Sambhal Yojana.
- ₹850 crore allocated for paddy bonus.
- A budget of ₹58,257 crore proposed for agriculture and allied sectors, which is ₹13,409 crore more than the previous year.

Significant Investment in Roads and Infrastructure

- Target to construct 100,000 kilometers of roads in the next 5 years.
- Construction of 500 railway overbridges and flyovers in 5 years.
- Construction of 3,500 kilometers of new roads and 70 bridges this year.
- Ujjain airstrip to be developed as an airport.
- ₹17,135 crore allocated for the Jal Jeevan Mission.
- ₹2,000 crore allocated for preparations for the Simhastha 2028.

Boosting Industry and Employment

- Target to establish 10,000 new startups in the state.
- Plan to provide ₹30,000 crore in incentives to industries over the next 5 years.
- ₹3,250 crore allocated for industries this year.
- 39 new industrial areas are being developed, creating more than 300,000 job opportunities.
- The One District-One Product scheme will be promoted.
- ₹20 crore allocated for competitive exam preparation.

Large Allocations for Education and Health

- A digital university will be established in Madhya Pradesh.
- ₹1,017 crore allocated for CM Rise schools.
- 22 new ITI colleges will be built.
- Scholarships will be provided to 50 students for studying abroad.
- ₹2,039 crore allocated for the Ayushman Bharat Yojana.
- A total budget of ₹23,535 crore proposed for the health sector.

Religious and Cultural Development

- "Mahalok" will be developed in Omkareshwar.
- ₹30 crore allocated for the Ram Path Gaman Yojana, and ₹10 crore for the Shri Krishna Pathey Yojana.
- Construction of 14 monuments at a cost of ₹507 crore to promote religious and cultural tourism.
- ₹100 crore allocated for the Gita Bhavan.
- ₹50 crore allocated for the Tirth Darshan Yojana.

Significant Steps in the Environment and Energy Sector

- A 2,000-megawatt solar park will be built between Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
- Plan to illuminate 2060 tribal villages with solar energy.
- The state's first solar power storage plant will be established in Morena.

Announcements for Police and Security Forces

- A budget of ₹12,876 crore has been allocated for the Home Department.
- Four new jails will be constructed.
- A new scheme will be implemented for the modernization of the police force.
- Fencing will be carried out along a 3,000-kilometer border to prevent wildlife and human conflict.

Urban and Rural Development

- ₹18,715 crore allocated for urban development.
- ₹4,400 crore allocated for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and ₹4,050 crore for MNREGA.
- A budget of ₹6,007 crore proposed for panchayat development.
- Religious sites and ghats will be renovated under the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan.

Sports and Youth Development

- Construction of a stadium in each assembly constituency.
- Stadiums will also be used as helipads.
- ₹20 crore allocated for the Chief Minister Sugam Parivahan Yojana.

No New Taxes in the Budget

The Finance Minister clarified that no new taxes have been imposed, and no existing tax rates have been increased. This budget is a significant step towards developing the state, keeping in mind the needs of every section of society.
