The Sambhal administration has taken significant steps to bolster security arrangements for Holi. This year, responsibility for monitoring 21 mosques in the city has been entrusted not only to police and PAC personnel but also to the revenue officials (Lekhpals).

Sambhal: To maintain peace and security during Holi, revenue officials (Lekhpals) have been given significant responsibilities alongside the police administration. Lekhpals have been specifically deployed at mosques and sensitive locations to monitor the situation and prevent any untoward incidents.

In addition, police and PAC personnel have been deployed to ensure security during Holi processions. Senior officers are continuously receiving situation reports from their subordinates.

Special Responsibility for Revenue Officials (Lekhpals)

Sambhal's SDM, Bandana Mishra, has ordered the deployment of Lekhpals at 13 mosques in the city and 8 in Saraytari. These Lekhpals have been instructed to remain vigilant and immediately report any unusual activity to the administration and police. The administration has also deployed police and PAC (Provincial Armed Constabulary) personnel.

Furthermore, intelligence agencies have been activated to prevent potential conflicts. Officials have been instructed to continuously monitor processions and sensitive areas.

Strict Vigilance Against Incidents Like Colour Throwing

During Holi, some anti-social elements may deliberately attempt to create disturbances. Lekhpals have been instructed to exercise particular caution around mosques and prevent incidents like unsolicited color throwing. The electricity department has also made special preparations to ensure uninterrupted power supply during Holi.

Teams of employees have been deployed at each sub-station. Instructions have been given to repair loose wires and secure transformers. A control room has been established to ensure immediate rectification of any faults. The administration has made it clear that strict action will be taken against those who disturb the peace. The SDM has instructed all officers and employees to maintain vigilance at sensitive locations and take immediate action in any situation.
