Bharatpur (February 27): Tight security measures were in place across Bharatpur district on the first day of the Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET) 2025. A total of 24,792 candidates participated in the first shift of the exam, held from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM today. Candidates were required to arrive by 9:00 AM to complete the biometric process before entering the examination centers.

For security reasons, female candidates were asked to remove nose pins, mangalsutras, necklaces, bangles, and anklets at the gate. This strict search resulted in some inconvenience for candidates, particularly those who tried to reach the examination centers after 9:00 AM. They were not allowed entry, leading to some expressions of discontent among the candidates.

Preparation for the Second Shift Exam

The second shift of the exam will be held from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM today, with 24,598 candidates expected to participate. These candidates must enter the examination centers by 2:00 PM.

According to police officials, security has been tightened at all examination centers. The Additional District Police Superintendent stated that extensive security measures have been taken to prevent any untoward incidents during the examination. Guards have been deployed with weapons during paper distribution and collection.

Furthermore, fixed pickets have been established at major intersections in the city, and additional efforts have been made to ensure smooth traffic management.
