AAP Accuses BJP of Exploiting Haryana Farmers with Land Pooling Policy

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has leveled serious allegations against the BJP government regarding Haryana's Land Pooling Policy. AAP claims that the E-Bhumi portal is being used to exploit farmers and their land, and that this policy has become an open avenue for brokers and the builder lobby to plunder.

Haryana: The Aam Aadmi Party has accused the BJP government concerning the Land Pooling Policy implemented in Haryana, stating that the policy is detrimental to farmers' land and livelihoods. AAP has stated that this scheme, operating through the E-Bhumi portal, is proving beneficial to brokers and the builder lobby. Party leaders have questioned the transparency of this process and demanded the protection of farmers' rights.

Questions on the E-Bhumi Portal, Will Farmers Receive Compensation?

AAP alleged that the paper-based development scheme being carried out through the E-Bhumi portal is beneficial not to the farmers but to brokers and builders. The party stated that the government has excluded 90 percent of farmers with less than 10 acres of land from the scheme. As a result, small and medium farmers are losing their land and are unable to obtain fair compensation.

AAP says that farmers are being compensated only at the circle rate, while the market rate is three to four times higher. They also alleged that the government is spreading lies in the name of compensation and is working to deceive the real owners of the land.

Questions Raised on Suppressing the Voice of Farmers

AAP has accused Chief Minister Nayab Singh of being in a hurry to transform the entire state into a corporate project. The party stated that the Chief Minister is not concerned about saving villages, nor does he have the time to listen to the pleas of farmers. The silence of the farmers is out of compulsion, while this loot and land grab by the BJP will not last long.

AAP also targeted the Congress for its inactivity. The party stated that there is no sign of the opposition in the state, and the Leader of the Opposition has not been decided for a year. As a result, the BJP has been given a free hand to implement its scheme on farmers' land, while the Congress remains blindfolded and watches the spectacle.

Leaders' Land Already Secure

AAP claimed that in the areas where the Land Pooling Policy is being implemented through the E-Bhumi portal, many BJP ministers and senior leaders have already purchased large amounts of land. The party questioned whether this is merely a coincidence or an abuse of power?

AAP says that when farmers are forced to sell their land out of desperation, the very same leaders who bought land before the policy was implemented will benefit the most. This is not just a policy but a model of using power and wealth, in which the hard work of farmers and their land are being traded.

BJP Will Have to Answer for the Farmers' Decision

AAP appealed to the farmers to decide whether they are with the government and brokers or with the forces standing against them. The party's National Media In-charge, Anurag Dhanda, said that this is not just a political issue but a question of the life and existence of every farmer and laborer.

AAP asked the BJP government how much land has been taken from farmers since 2014, how much land has been sold to which corporations, and how many BJP leaders bought land in those areas before the scheme was implemented? The party clarified that this land is not just a piece of earth, it is the soul of the farmers of Haryana. And no government, no Chief Minister, or any power structure can hand over this soul to brokers.
