AIMIM Intensifies Seemanchal Strategy After I.N.D.I.A Alliance Rejection, Threatens Bihar Polls

AIMIM has intensified its strategy in Seemanchal. The party is active in the Amaur and Baisi assembly constituencies. After its attempt to join the I.N.D.I.A alliance failed, AIMIM decided to contest the elections independently.

Bihar Politics: Political circumstances are gradually becoming clearer ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections 2025. Meanwhile, AIMIM's activism has raised concerns for the I.N.D.I.A alliance. After securing victories in the Amaur and Baisi assembly seats in 2020, AIMIM has once again focused on these Muslim-majority regions.

AIMIM had attempted to join the I.N.D.I.A alliance, but this effort proved unsuccessful. Subsequently, the party decided to contest the elections independently. This situation could potentially increase the chances of the NDA benefiting.

AIMIM's Strategy in Seemanchal

The arrival of AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi in Seemanchal has further intensified the political stir. The party is preparing to strengthen its hold in Muslim-majority constituencies.

In the 2020 elections, Congress secured the third position in Amaur, while BJP received more votes than RJD in Baisi. This indicates that AIMIM challenged both the Mahagathbandhan and the NDA in Seemanchal.

Analysis of Amaur Assembly Constituency

In the last election, Congress's Jaleel Mastan received only 31,863 votes in the Amaur assembly seat. JDU's Saba Zafar came in second. Meanwhile, AIMIM's state president Akhtarul Iman unexpectedly secured victory with 94,459 votes.

Akhtarul Iman is still the state president of AIMIM, and his candidacy is certain. This strategy of the party is working towards increasing its influence in Amaur.

AIMIM's Role in Baisi Assembly Constituency

In the Baisi assembly constituency, AIMIM challenged the RJD's prospects. The then incumbent MLA, Haji Abdus Subhan, finished third. AIMIM nominated Syed Ruknuddin, who secured 68,416 votes. BJP's Vinod Yadav came in second with 52,043 votes.

Syed Ruknuddin later joined RJD, but AIMIM now aims to strengthen its position on this seat by adopting a specific strategy.

Attempt to Join I.N.D.I.A Alliance Fails

Recently, AIMIM attempted to join the I.N.D.I.A alliance. A demand for six out of 24 seats in Seemanchal was also made. RJD completely rejected this demand.

Consequently, AIMIM decided to contest the elections independently and has now placed a special focus on the Amaur and Baisi assembly constituencies. This move could become a challenge for the I.N.D.I.A alliance.

NDA's Preparation and Strategy

For the NDA, the Amaur and Baisi assembly constituencies are considered almost impregnable. Following AIMIM's activation, the NDA has further intensified its strategy. The party is making grassroots preparations to increase its influence in these seats.

The potential contest between NDA and AIMIM could further heat up the political atmosphere in these regions. This could intensify the challenge for the I.N.D.I.A alliance.
