Gandhinagar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated new residential complexes for MLAs in Gandhinagar, the capital of Gujarat. The total cost of this project is 325 crore rupees, and it comprises 216 flats across 12 towers. Each flat features 3 bedrooms and spans approximately 2,500 square feet. During the inauguration, Amit Shah also stated that these modern MLA residences were constructed to replace older apartments, which had been unable to meet the growing demand for MLA housing for many years.

Concurrently, Amit Shah also laid the foundation stone for a 6-lane road project in Sanand taluka of Ahmedabad district, estimated to cost 805 crore rupees. The completion of this project is expected to reduce traffic congestion and accidents on this crucial road.

Modern Amenities at the MLA Complex

The new apartments offer not only living spaces but also a host of amenities including a gym, swimming pool, canteen, multi-purpose hall, community hall, indoor sports facility, garden, dispensary, and store.

The Gandhinagar assembly constituency has a total of 182 MLAs. The old flats, constructed in 1971 and 1990-91, had become quite old and less convenient. The new residences are expected to improve the comfort and living standards of the MLAs.
