Sports News: Seven-time champions and the current titleholders, the Australian women's cricket team, have announced their squad for the ICC Women's ODI World Cup 2025. This time, the selectors have made several bold decisions. While five new players have earned their maiden World Cup call-up, three experienced players are making a comeback after recovering from injuries.
This World Cup will commence at the end of this month, jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka. Before the World Cup, Australia will also play a three-match ODI series against India.
Three Players Make a Comeback
Three key players are returning to the team after recovering from injuries:
- Sophie Molineux – Was sidelined for an extended period due to a knee injury in January.
- Darcie Brown – Returns to the squad after recovering from a quad injury.
