Bihar Braces for Normal Weather with Persistent Humid Heat, Light Showers Possible in Some Areas

Bihar is expected to have normal weather conditions on September 5th. Madhubani recorded the highest temperature at 35.5°C. The Meteorological Department has predicted stable temperatures for the next four days, with chances of light rain and b winds in some areas.

Patna: Over the last 24 hours, a weakening monsoon in Bihar has caused discomfort to people in many districts with sunshine and humidity. The latest report from the Meteorological Department indicates a very low possibility of rain across most parts of the state today, September 5th. However, light showers, thunderstorms, and winds blowing at speeds of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour may occur in some areas of North-West and North-East Bihar.

Possibility of Light Rain in Some Places

The Patna Meteorological Center has issued a forecast from 8:30 AM on September 5th to 8:30 AM on September 6th. According to the report, the weather will remain normal and dry in most districts of the state today.

Only a few districts have a possibility of light drizzles, but there are currently no signs of widespread rain. Scattered rainfall may be recorded in some parts of South Bihar and the North-Eastern regions.

Maximum Temperature to Remain Between 33 to 35 Degrees Celsius

According to the Meteorological Department, there will be no significant change in Bihar's temperature over the next four days. The maximum temperature today is estimated to be between 33 to 35 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature between 25 to 26 degrees Celsius.

Due to these temperatures, humid heat will persist. There will be light sunshine in the morning and during the day, while the effect of humidity will bother people by evening. Neither farmers nor the general public are likely to get relief from the monsoon in the near future.

Madhubani's Temperature at 35.5 Degrees

Data from the past 24 hours shows that Madhubani recorded the highest temperature in the state. The mercury reached 35.5 degrees Celsius here, which is above normal.

Additionally, minor fluctuations in temperature were observed in cities like Patna, Gaya, Darbhanga, Bhagalpur, and Purnia.

Temperature Recorded in Major Cities?

According to the report from the Meteorological Center, temperatures recorded in major cities are as follows:

  • Madhubani – 35.5°C (hottest)
  • Araria – 32.9°C (increase of 0.9 degrees)
  • Gaya – 34.1°C (decrease of 1.3 degrees)
  • Patna – 34.3°C (decrease of 0.3 degrees)
  • Bhagalpur – 33.0°C (decrease of 0.9 degrees)
  • Darbhanga – 34.4°C (decrease of 1.0 degree)
  • Purnia – 34.5°C (decrease of 0.7 degrees)
  • Aurangabad – 33.7°C (increase of 1.4 degrees)

These figures clearly indicate that the weather remains normal in most parts of Bihar, but the feeling of heat is intensified due to humidity.

Threat to Kharif Crops

The sluggish monsoon in Bihar is significantly impacting agriculture. Farmers are worried about their paddy and other Kharif crops not receiving timely water. The Meteorological Department has clarified that there is no possibility of heavy rainfall in the coming days. However, scattered showers and drizzles might offer some minor relief, but there is little expectation of an overall improvement in the situation.
