Bangladesh vs. Pakistan T20 Series Announced with Home Advantage

International cricket has once again gained momentum. Following the conclusion of IPL 2025, national teams are returning to action. Team India is currently in England for a crucial five-match Test series, while Australia is on tour in the West Indies.

Sports Desk: Cricket enthusiasts have another exciting series to look forward to. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has officially released the schedule for a three-match T20I series against Pakistan. The entire series will be played in Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, commencing on July 20, 2025.

Notably, Pakistan and Bangladesh teams recently faced off in a series where Bangladesh suffered a 3-0 defeat. Now, Bangladesh has a golden opportunity to turn the tables on their home ground.

A Look at the Schedule

All three matches between Bangladesh and Pakistan will be played on the same ground – Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla Stadium. This stadium is well-known for T20 cricket and its fast pitches, offering assistance to both spinners and pacers.

  1. First T20 Match: July 20, 2025 – Mirpur
  2. Second T20 Match: July 22, 2025 – Mirpur
  3. Third T20 Match: July 24, 2025 – Mirpur

All matches will begin at 6:00 PM Bangladesh time and 5:30 PM Indian Standard Time.

Bangladesh Determined to Take Revenge

Earlier this year, Pakistan swept Bangladesh 3-0 in a T20 series on their home ground. During that series, Pakistani batsmen and bowlers delivered outstanding performances, outplaying Bangladesh in all departments. However, now Bangladesh will have the advantage of playing on their home turf. The Sher-e-Bangla Stadium has a good record for the Bangladeshi team, and the team will be eager to avenge their defeat in front of the home crowd.

This series is not just a bilateral contest between the two teams but also a part of the preparations for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2026, which will be held in India and Sri Lanka. Considering the World Cup next year, teams are testing their combinations, bench strength, and strategies in sub-continental conditions. Playing on spin-friendly pitches will provide valuable experience for young Pakistani batsmen, while Bangladesh will aim to return to winning ways by leveraging their home advantage.
