BJP Captures 11 of 12 Special Committee Seats in Delhi MCD Elections. Cross-voting by Aam Aadmi Party Councilors Gives BJP a Political Advantage.

Delhi BJP MCD Win: The BJP has achieved a remarkable victory in the Delhi Municipal Corporation (MCD) elections for special committees, capturing 11 out of 12 committees. Cross-voting by some councilors from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in these elections gave the BJP a clear advantage. The BJP's ally, the Indraprastha Vikas Party (IVP), also won some seats.

Mayor Congratulates Victors, Expresses Confidence

Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh congratulated all the winning candidates and described the results as a symbol of transparency and the responsibility of public representatives. He expressed hope that the newly elected members would live up to the public's trust.

Technical Obstacle in Election, One Committee Election Postponed

During the elections held on Wednesday, an objection was raised regarding the use of smartphones during the Sports Committee election. As a result, the election for this committee has been postponed to a later date.

BJP Receives Extra Votes, Political Significance

In the election for the Construction Committee, the BJP received five more votes than expected, despite having only 20 members. This clearly indicated the BJP's strategic planning and the state of discontent in the opposition. Two AAP councilors and three IVP members voted in favor of the BJP through cross-voting.
