Preparations for the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh politics have intensified. The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has started its preparations in mission mode.
Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh, the Bahujan Samaj Party has initiated its preparations for the upcoming elections in mission mode. This campaign is set to commence on October 9th, the death anniversary of party founder Kanshi Ram. The BSP aims to use this occasion to demonstrate its strength and organizational capacity. During this period, there are plans to further solidify its political influence by inducting several prominent leaders into the party.
A state-level program will be organized at the Kanshi Ram Memorial in Lucknow on Kanshi Ram's death anniversary. The target is to gather a crowd of approximately five lakh people from across the state for this event. BSP chief Mayawati and her nephew Akash Anand will also be present on this occasion.
State-Level Program on Kanshi Ram's Death Anniversary
The BSP has organized a state-level program at the Kanshi Ram Memorial in Lucknow on October 9th. Approximately five lakh people from across the state are expected to participate in this event. BSP supremo Mayawati, along with her nephew Akash Anand, will also be present. On this occasion, the party will convey the message that the BSP is entering the upcoming elections with full force. The party aims for this program to serve as a platform to showcase the BSP's political strength among workers and the general public.
This event by the BSP is extremely important for activating the organization and its workers. Through several prominent leaders being inducted into the party at this program, the message will also be conveyed that the BSP is still politically b and influential. National General Secretary Satish Chandra Mishra has been entrusted with the responsibility for the event. He is overseeing site preparations, security, and program arrangements.
At this event, BSP supremo Mayawati will not only energize and enthuse the workers but also outline strategies for them to tackle upcoming electoral challenges. The party believes that opposition parties are attempting to weaken the BSP through "Saam, Daam, Dand, Bhed" (conciliation, gifts, punishment, division) politics, aiming to limit the strength of Dalit leadership.
New Enthusiasm Among Party Workers
This event is also significant for the BSP because the party is currently going through a challenging phase. In 2007, the BSP formed the government by securing an absolute majority on its own, but thereafter, the party's performance gradually weakened. In the 2022 Assembly elections, the BSP succeeded in winning only one seat, while in the Lok Sabha elections, the party could not even open its account. Thus, Mayawati views this death anniversary program as an opportunity to re-empower the organization and infuse new vigor among the workers.
