BSSC Recruitment 2025: The Bihar Staff Selection Commission has released a recruitment notification for 379 posts of Sports Trainers (Kreedaa Prashikshak) for youth across the state. This recruitment will be conducted online from October 9 to November 11, 2025, with 128 posts reserved for women. A graduate degree and sports-related technical qualification are mandatory to apply. The selection process will be based on a written examination and interview, providing eligible candidates an opportunity to build a career in the sports field.
Number of Posts and Reservations
Out of the total 379 posts, 128 posts have been specifically reserved for female candidates. The remaining posts are distributed among various categories, including unreserved, SC, ST, EBC, BC, and women from backward classes. This reservation system will provide opportunities for women and talented youth from all sections of society.
Through this recruitment, the Commission aims to bring forward qualified and trained candidates in the sports sector. This will also help address the shortage of sports facilities and trainers in the state.
Eligibility and Essential Conditions
To apply, candidates must hold a graduate degree in any discipline. Additionally, a sports-related technical qualification, such as a Diploma or Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Coaching from Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports or Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education, is mandatory.
Candidates' sports achievements will also be considered significant. Priority will be given to candidates who have represented India in international competitions or represented the state at national and international levels. Participation in recognized competitions like the Olympics, Asian Games, and Commonwealth Games will also be considered a qualification.
Age Limit and Selection Process
For general category candidates, the minimum age is 21 years and the maximum age is 37 years. The maximum age limit is 40 years for male and female candidates belonging to BC and EBC categories, and for unreserved women, while it is 42 years for SC and ST categories.
The selection process will be based on a written examination and an interview. Candidates who successfully clear the written examination will be called for an interview, after which a merit list will be prepared based on their qualifications, experience, and sports achievements. Final appointments will be made based on this list.
